Secure. Not because we say so. Because the law says so.
$umm connects to your bank under the same European rules every bank follows. Your money stays in your bank. You stay in control.
How the connection works
Why is it safe? In plain words.
You don't need to know what PSD2 is. You only need to know these four things.
-
Only your bank knows your passwords.
You never type them into $umm. To connect, you sign in on your bank's own page, just like every day.
-
$umm can only look.
Like showing someone your bank statement: they can read it, but they can't take money out. Payments and transfers are made only by you, in your bank.
-
The permission is yours.
It lasts up to 180 days and then needs your approval again. You can cancel it whenever you like, with one tap in $umm or in your bank.
-
It's set out in law.
Connections follow the EU's PSD2 law and go through a licensed company that's supervised like a bank.
Connecting, in three steps
- In $umm, tap “Connect a bank” and choose your bank.
- Your bank's own page opens. Sign in there and approve.
- Your accounts appear in $umm. That's it.
One more thing: your data is yours. We don't sell it and we don't share it with advertisers.
OUR COMMITMENT
Five promises. In writing.
Security isn't a feature of the app. It's the reason the app exists.
- Your data is not the product.
We use it only to show you your finances. We don't sell it and we don't share it with advertisers.
- View-only, by design.
Your bank gives $umm read-only access. You approve it, it lasts up to 180 days and it renews only with your approval. Payments and transfers are made only by you, in your bank.
- Encrypted at every step.
Data travels encrypted (TLS), just like in e-banking, and is stored encrypted on infrastructure inside the EU.
- You hold the key.
Revoke access with one tap, from the app or from your bank, and it takes effect immediately. You can also delete your account and its data whenever you want.
- Ask us anything.
Write to us at info@summ.gr. A real person from the team will answer.
The full details will be in our Terms of use and Privacy policy, which we'll publish before the beta opens.
